Podłogi laminowane - Platinium

Assembling procedure

  1. The sub surface is to be dry, solid, clean and levelled (irregularities of the surface are not to exceed 3 mm a running meter, if so they are to be ground off. Such prepared sub-floor should be covered with a vapour-impermeable film (lap joint fixed with a moisture-resistant adhesive tape). Then the foam underpad is to be laid on (butt joint). “Kronopianka” with a thickness of 2 or 3 mm or Kronotherm TS with a thickness of 5 mm is recommended. It is a wood-based acoustic damping board that can reduce the sound of steps for 21 dB.
  2. Prior to and during installation, each floor panel should be checked for mechanical damage, clear and visible faults (colour differences, size differences, etc). Should the panels with defects be installed, the rights of warranty will be denied.
  3. Laminate flooring represents so-called floating floor, therefore, neither gluing, nailing nor any other way of fixing to the wall or floor is permitted.
  4. There is to be 10 mm expansion gap between the floor and stationary perpendicular elements (pillars, door thresholds, pipes, walls, etc.) to allow for expansion or contraction due to changes in temperature and humidity. While installing, spacers should be used to keep the required gaps.
  5. When the room is over 8 m long or its width exceeds 6 m, expansion gaps of 2-3 cm in width should be made in proportional sections of the floor.
  6. In order to obtain the best visual effect, the floor panels should be installed in the direction of the main light source.
  7. It is recommended installing be done in the temperature of 18-22°C and air humidity of up to 70%.

The following tools and materials are required to install laminate flooring:

  • a vapour-impermeable PE/PA film
  • a foam underpad that is used under floating floor, such as “Kronopianka”
  • a set of tools (a tapping-block, pull bar, spacers)
  • a hammer
  • a saw with fine teeth
  • a pencil, a straight-edge, a measuring rule
  • skirting-boards (with installing holders)
